Whether you enjoy classic card games, strategy games, board games, or just spending time with friends, these groups provide a fun and welcoming way to stay engaged, meet neighbors, and enjoy the community. Bridge*
Sunland Springs Village Bridge Club Groups
Phyllis Linssen is the facilitator for the group below. Once a year, the group collects $5.00 from each player to purchase cards, tally sheets, score sheets, and other supplies. This fee is only assessed once for all games. Bring a quarter and a dime to check in, and pennies for tricks you go down. You must sign up to play, and each game has a host, who is published monthly in The Voice. If there are questions, direct them to Phyllis Linssen, 701-426-3308 or ndsnowball21@gmail.com, and she will get you the answers. There are all levels of play, and all are welcome.

Duplicate Bridge
The Duplicate Bridge Club is happy to invite resident bridge players of all skill levels to join us for friendly competition and social interaction. We play duplicate bridge every Wednesday (except for holidays) at 12:50 until approximately 4:15 in the Summit card room. Our annual dues are $2 per person.

Monday Morning Men's Bridge
We meet and play a friendly game of contract bridge. This is not a place to learn bridge, nor is it a place for experts only. It is a place for bridge players to have fun on Monday mornings. The cost is minimal, and so are the prizes; the only guarantee in this game is that you will be dealt 13 cards every hand.
We collect $3.00 once a year from all players to pay for cards, tallies, score sheets, and supplies. The game usually lasts about 2.5 hours. Cost: 50 cents for the prize fund and 25 cents for the slam pot.

Bunko
Bunko
Bunco is an easy game to learn played with 3 dice. We are a fun group, and we welcome everyone to come out and have an enjoyable afternoon. There is a $3 entry fee to play which is all disbursed back to the group. We pay out 7 spots for: Last Bunco, Most Wins, 2nd Most Wins, Most Buncos, Most Losses, Most Goose Eggs and Most Smiley’s.
After Bunco play is over, we play a game of Left, Right, Center. There is a $1 entry fee to play LRC which all gets paid out to the 1st and 2nd place winners.

The Sunday Afternoon Triple Ponytail Canasta group maintains an open door for all those who enjoy a friendly competitive game of ponytail canasta. Whether you are new to the game or have been playing the game for years, this group is the one for you. Our friendly players are always welcoming new members and willing to help those newbies learn this exciting (sometimes frustrating) game. All materials are furnished, you only need to bring is your positive and enthusiastic attitude for an afternoon of laughter and camaraderie.

Women's Triple Play Canasta

Our Monday 500 Cards sessions run year-round, providing a regular opportunity to connect with fellow card enthusiasts, sharpen your skills, and enjoy one of the most popular trick-taking card games. Every night offers new challenges, memorable hands, and plenty of laughs. All for the price of 25 cents.
Playing 500 is about more than just winning—it's about building friendships, sharing experiences, and being part of a welcoming community. New players with basic knowledge of the game are encouraged to join. Make Monday your game night. The Cribbage Group welcomes SSV residents who enjoy friendly competition, and social interaction. We meet weekly all year long to play three or four handed cribbage depending on the number of players. We furnish the cards and boards. Players throw in $0.25 to play and from that pot we pay prizes. Whether you're a seasoned player or haven't played for a while, the group offers a fun and welcoming environment to meet neighbors, sharpen your skills, and enjoy an evening of laughter and camaraderie.

Buck Euchre
We invite all SSV residents with a basic knowledge of Buck Euchre to join us for a mid week bidding game. It is a fast paced social game. Cards are provided and you do not need a partner to participate. We play for a quarter to add some friendly fun. All of the money is paid out and there is even a quarter for last place to keep you coming back.
If all forms of Euchre are new to you we would be happy to provide lessons at a mutually convenient time. We play year round to provide our summer residents with a stimulating social evening of cards.

Looking for a fun evening out? Come join our card group. Everyone is welcome to join our fun and social group. We always welcome new players, men, women, singles and couples. There is no commitment, just show up and play when you want. No money involved.
It is a fun card game and the short list of rules are easy to learn. We will provide a printout of the rules. There is always someone who will be happy to teach you the game. If you have your own cards and shuffler, please bring them. Drop by and join in on the fun. Don’t forget your name tag.

Mah Jong*
National Mahjongg League
We use the National Mahjongg card and abide by their rules. Currently have 49 members and have had up to 32 in winter and 12-16 players in summer. Come check us out. May observe playing and decide if you want to learn. If an already trained player just show up!

Mah Jong International
Mah Jong International (no card) can be simply described as a fast paced four player tile game, often compared to the card game Rummy. Players take turns drawing and discarding tiles with the goal of being the first to collect a specific winning combination of 14 tiles.
If you are looking for a challenging game of luck and skill then we encourage you to join us. We welcome new players and will work with you until you feel comfortable with playing and scoring. There are many nuances that can be learned by just playing. It is not necessary to bring a Mah Jong set but feel free to bring a quarter and a dime as we pay out for high score and low score.

Sheepshead
Sheepshead Card Game
Sheepshead is a popular card game passed down from German immigrants in Wisconsin. It can be played with four or five players. Trump consists of Queens high, Jacks next and all diamonds next with a specific order in suit. Sheepshead is a game of strategy and team work. Play involves counting points after each hand for nickels and dimes. For anyone interested in a challenging game we will provide lessons at a mutually convenient time.
