Bible Study

Friday Morning Bible Study
 
The SSV Interdenominational Community Bible Study, a ministry of the SSV Chapel, meets weekly from late summer to early spring, with actual dates and times announced in SSV media outlets. Currently, the study is led by Dr. David W. Worley, Associate Pastor of SSV Chapel with unique topics for each session in summer and fall. The studies include topical studies (e.g. prayer), studies of specific books of the Bible and studies of Christian doctrine (e.g. salvation, end times, etc.). All members of the community are warmly welcomed as we focus on Scripture together, believing it be the revealed will of God for our education, edification and enablement.

The SSV Book Club meets monthly to discuss a preselected book.  Everyone is welcome to attend and you do not have to have read the book. Car Club

 
SSV Car Club
 
The SSV Car Club welcomes residents with all types of automobile interests — from modern vehicles and custom builds to classic and vintage autos. The club provides a friendly, community‑focused space for anyone who enjoys cars, car stories, restoration projects, and automotive history.
 
Members meet weekly during the winter season, with meetings featuring new‑member introductions and lively conversation about recent car shows, cruise‑ins, and other automotive events. Discussions also highlight upcoming activities such as car shows, cruise‑ins, auctions, open houses, and special club outings. In addition to sharing knowledge and experiences, members often exchange maintenance tips, restoration advice, and personal stories that celebrate the joy of automotive culture. Recent car‑show photos and automotive videos are also shared on the big screen, giving everyone a chance to enjoy highlights from past events.
 
The club also schedules tours to car‑building shops, automotive museums, private collections, and specialty garages, offering members unique opportunities to explore remarkable vehicles, meet industry experts, and enjoy behind‑the‑scenes experiences that deepen their appreciation for the automotive world. The SSV Car Club proudly plans and hosts the annual SSV Car Show, a signature community event that showcases member vehicles, welcomes guest exhibitors, and celebrates the region’s vibrant automotive culture.
 
New members are always encouraged to join. Coffee and donuts are offered for a small donation, adding to the friendly, social atmosphere. The Car Club does not have any dues — participation is open to all who share a passion for automobiles and the camaraderie that comes with them.

Caregiver's Support Club

 
The Caregivers Support Club
 
The Caregivers Support Club welcomes all residents who are caregivers of a spouse/partner who has impaired cognition or living with a chronic disease. Members meet monthly on the second Saturday of the month in the Superstition Room at 9 AM. Speakers from community seniors resource agencies are invited to speak to members on specific topics such as Living with Dementia, senior legal issues, advocacy needs within the medical system, living a quality of life etc. After the speaker finishes the presentation, the group discusses individual support needs and resources they have found.
   
New members are always encouraged to join.

Genealogy Club

Genealogy Club
 
The mission of the Genealogy Club is to help our members learn best practices to gather, research, record, and share information about our ancestors. We use various technology tools to help our members learn how to use them. We engage genealogy professionals and monitor the latest tools and adapt as necessary or as our members desire. Examples include topics such as DNA, artificial intelligence, and full text search. Whether you're a seasoned genealogist or simply curious about your ancestors, the club offers a fun and welcoming environment to meet neighbors, sharpen your skills, and enjoy a session of laughter and camaraderie. New members are always encouraged to join.

Investment Club

Karaoke Club

 
Karaoke Club
 
Join the Karaoke Club at the San Tan Center on the first Friday of every month- All year long! Doors open at 6:00 PM, and singing begins at 6:30 PM.
 
Annual membership is $30 (November through October). Members enjoy free monthly karaoke, priority seating for club-sponsored dances, and access to various club activities throughout the year. Please contact me directly for a membership form.
 
Please note that membership is capped at 150 people. While we may allow walk-ins or non-members for $5 at the door, this is subject to club needs, particularly during the peak winter season (December through March). Please check Margaret’s mentions, the Forum, and the SSV Facebook page for monthly updates and availability.
 
Whether you want to sing your favorite song, dance, or simply socialize, we would love to have you. You don’t need to sing to enjoy the evening! 

Please feel free to bring your beverage of choice and a snack to share with your table.

Lions Club

 
Mesa Sunland Springs Village Lions Club
 
The Mesa Sunland Springs Village Lions Club welcomes all residents who enjoy engaging in service projects and social interaction. Our club is actively involved in vision screening for youth, purchase of glasses for children and Christmas collections for needy children. We also coordinate with Sunshine Acres to accommodate the collection of garage sale items, left unsold, for the purpose of donations to Sunshine Acres Thrift Store. Often miscellaneous projects surface throughout the year as well. Our mission statement, WE SERVE, reflects all of these activities. Sunland Springs Village P.E.O. Chapter
 
P.E.O. is an International, non-profit, philanthropic organization that raises money to assist women with their educational goals; and promotes friendships and provides support among members.
 
Sunland Springs Village P.E.O. Chapter FJ also raises money to help locally identified women obtain scholarships and low-cost loans to assist them financially towards their educational goals. Our main fundraiser, a luncheon and fashion show, is held in SSV every spring.

Singles Social Group

The goal of the group is to get out of the house and do social activities with other “single” people in SSV. To be able to go to an SSV event, sit together and not feel alone. To go to events knowing that other “single” people will be there to share in the fun, laughter and have a good time.  Also, we do other activities that are not just in SSV. We go to restaurants, concerts, museums, botanical gardens, and other activities suggested by the members.
 
This is a social group and not a dating group. The intention is to make friends and enjoy each other's company.

Springs Chapel is YOUR community Non-Denominational Christian Chapel, where we gather together every Sunday Morning at 9:00AM in the Springwood Auditorium, using the Holy Bible alone as our teaching reference. We offer Holy Communion on the 1st Sunday of every month and are extremely fortunate and blessed to have two highly experienced, educated, and motivated pastors, ready to meet your spiritual needs and desires. In the fall and winter we have a choir you can join or simply enjoy listening to. We fellowship weekly, following our Sunday morning Worship Service, with complimentary coffee and donuts. On occasion, Springs Chapel schedules, advertises, and hosts complimentary events, such as  Gospel Music Worship Events and Christian Movie Nights. In addition, our Associate Pastor conducts Community Bible Study teaching series at various times during each year. We welcome everyone to any and all of our Springs Chapel sponsored gatherings, events, and Worship Services. We hope to see you soon.

Ukelele Club

 
The Village Ukulele Group
 
We are a ukulele group that meets on Sundays from 4:00 -5:00 in the Superstition Room. Usually from mid October to the end of April.

We accept beginners and will help you get started if you have never played a ukulele or any instrument. Ukulele is one of the easiest instruments to learn. It only has four strings so really only 2/3 as hard to learn as a guitar.

We sing familiar songs from the 1950s and 60s. You don’t have to be able to read music. You don’t have to be a great singer. Just be someone open to learning something new and having lots of fun.

Veteran's Club

 
SSV Veterans Club
 
The purpose of the SSV Veterans Club is to give aid and support to any State of Arizona non-profit Veteran assistance organization that has been vetted by the Executive Board. The SSV Veterans Club is also enlisted to serve and honor those Veterans in our community.

Our meetings start with a 30 minute social time, talk with friends ,or make new friends. The meetings are very brief, then we present our featured speaker. These speakers are very entertaining and informative. Most members will tell you
that these speakers more than justify your $10 annual dues.

Village Playhouse

 
Village Playhouse
 
The Village Playhouse performed their first show in 2011. At that time all scenes or skits were memorized. With the creation of more clubs and activities, our performers were tasked with giving up other new activities, or giving up Playhouse. We figured out the best option for everyone would be to cut down on rehearsals and the time needed to memorize lines. In 2018 the Playhouse presented it’s first “Murder Mystery” and has continued that tradition ever since. We have no regular meetings but auditions for the show are usually held the latter part of January with the show being held in February. Rehearsal dates/times are discussed at auditions.

The Village Voices is a volunteer choral group made up of residents of SSV. Anyone who enjoys singing and has had some experience singing with a chorus is welcome to join. We do two concerts each year: one at Christmas time and one in the spring. We rehearse on Mondays and Fridays during the winter season.
